The podcast "Exodus: Cultures and Heritage" aims to delve into the acculturation experiences of Iranian students residing in Wroclaw, Poland. Acculturation refers to the cultural and psychological changes that occur when individuals from different cultures come into continuous first-hand contact. This podcast, closely tied to the thesis project, explores these changes through peer-to-peer interviews and reportage, offering listeners a deep and personal insight into the lives of the students.

Marginalization
In this episode of Exodus: Cultures and Heritage, we explore the concept of marginalization, the third stage of acculturation examined in this series. Drawing from written interviews featured in my thesis project, we provide a detailed yet concise analysis of these interviews and their insights.
The episode discusses the emotional complexities of being caught between two cultures, where individuals neither retain a meaningful connection to their original culture nor feel included or accepted by the new one. This condition often results in a sense of exclusion, alienation, and cultural dislocation. Through real stories and lived experiences, we examine how this disconnection affects identity, belonging, and psychological well-being during the acculturation process.
Listeners will gain a deeper understanding of these often overlooked realities and receive a sneak peek into the next episode, which focuses on the integration stage.
